Our World looks different right now. We know that is not news to you... at least we hope it is not. At one of our recent meetings here at Bloggow, we realized that, like so many of you, we often turn to our favorite authors to help us make sense of the confusion and uncertainty that surrounds us. We know we do not have the answers, so we instinctively set out on a mission to find them. We open an old book that moved us. Or maybe we just embark on an intentional dive down a rabbit hole that begins with those writers we find most inspirational. But what we are certain of is that resting in desolation is not a solution. We also know that you are that remedy for your readers and believe that we can help you.
One of the ways we can do this is by showing our gratitude to both our current users and anyone else that signs up and gives us a look. So, we are offering another opportunity to win an Amazon gift card for doing what you already do: promoting your content to get it the attention it deserves. Simply post some of your work on Bloggow.com in September and you will be automatically entered to win. Last month, we were happy to gift one of our users with a $50 gift card as a thank you. After seeing how much fun it was and how grateful our winner was, we decided to do it again this month. Only this time, we figured we would make it a little more exciting by offering $100.
But if that is not enough for you, consider what else you gain by joining Bloggow. You see, we know you need a place where you can spend less time on all that noise and more time on your actual vocation. We get that you need a place that is determined to be the missing connection between your content and all your future readers that, just cannot seem to find you. We are that place. In other words, we are not looking to be just another content hosting site. We just want to help people find your site.
Many of you already knew all that about us, but what you are not aware of is how this whole Bloggow idea came to be. Like so many other ideas, it started in a coffee shop. There was a group of us that had all worked together in the past on various projects and tried to meet at least once a month in what has become a social hybrid of networking and camaraderie. We all happen to love reading and, as a result, our meetings often turned into accidental book club gatherings.
One morning, we were discussing the many bloggers we follow. As the conversation continued, we began to realize that there were so many writers we had never heard of, including some more well-known authors some of us were ashamed to admit we had never heard of. We also recognized that there were even some extremely talented novelists that somehow escaped our mental catalog of great reads. This baffled each of us given our similar interests. How can we read the same type of content and not be aware of so many popular authors of that content?
We assumed there was already a site where we could setup an account to follow each other’s favorite authors and recent reads. This would be the perfect solution to our newfound predicament. We opened our laptops and commenced an exploration that would, surprisingly, come up empty. We found plenty of sites that met one of the features we were looking for, but none that met them all. This world has been digital for so long, it was unfathomable to us that there was not already some sort of platform created to allow this comprehensive writer-reader partnership. But there was not.
So, as avid readers, aware that there must be countless others like us, hopelessly looking for a bastion of banter, a sanctuary for script, a protector of poetry... Okay. We will stop with the artificial alliteration. But we hope you do get the idea. We want to become your website. Whether you’re a passionate reader like us or an author that cringed as they read through this grammatical nightmare of a post, we want you to know we are listening and will always work with you to make Bloggow into whatever you dream it to be. So please join us as we continue to make the world a better place for con
